What is CFK?

Coming From Kalaw (CFK) is a community-focused art company based in Kalaw, Southern Shan State. With the goal of “Community Change Through the Arts”, we collaborate with local and regional artists while building sustainable, culturally rooted creative opportunities.

CFK combines a social mission with a commercial approach to strengthen both artistic talent and community impact. We operate two complementary platforms that work together to support artists and serve our community.

Creative Services

Our professional services include art curation, exhibitions, art consultancy, artwork sales, and project support for individuals, businesses, and institutions. Ten percent of profits is reinvested into CFK_Art Fund, creating a sustainable model that supports artists and expands outreach.

Kyel Sin Lin

Founder & CEO

Kyel Sin Lin founded Coming From Kalaw (CFK) in January 2023 with a mission to drive “Community Change through the Arts.” With a background in architecture, curation, and nonprofit management, she has developed CFK into a platform that empowers local artists and engages the community.

Focused on cultural preservation and art education, her vision is transforming the Southern Shan State art scene through exhibitions, consultancy, art sales, and accessible programs.
